If you made your purchase on the Shop, log in to your Transaction History and check that your order status is Complete. If you already purchased game time or a subscription, make sure you are logged in with the correct account email. If you want to install and play WoW Classic or Wrath of the Lich King Classic, you are required to have game time or a subscription. Modern WoW is free to download and play until level 20. Once you selected the correct folder, the Install button will become the Play button. If the app shows the Install button but you have already installed the game before, you don't have to reinstall. Click on Locate the game below the Install button to select the folder where you installed the game. On top of the Install button, confirm which Game Version you want to install: Modern WoW, WoW Classic, or Wrath of the Lich King ClassicĮach game version must be installed separately. Each game version has different minimum system requirements. Click the World of Warcraft icon at the top. If the icon is missing, click on All Games and select the game from the list. You should see the game starting to download for you, and you should be ready to go when the ready is launches later today.Modern World of Warcraft, WoW Classic, and Wrath of the Lich King Classic are all installed through the desktop app. Above the install button, you’re going to see you can open up a dropdown menu that reads, “version,” and you want to choose the option that says “ World of Warcraft Classic,” on it. If you do, you’re going to download the live, up to date version of World of Warcraft. Click on it, and then you’ll want to go to the location where it says, “Install,” but you don’t want to it hit yet. You want to go to the World of Warcraft tab on the left side. You may notice you don’t see it on the left side at all. While Blizzard has an excellent collection, you’re going to want to focus on World of Warcraft. Installing WoW: ClassicĪfter you’ve installed your version of the launcher, you’re going to have a list of games available to you to play on the left side of the launcher. 
You’re going to go through a few steps, but they should be relatively straightforward with easy to follow steps. Here’s the download you’re going to need to have on your computer.
You can find it on the Blizzard website, and you’re also going to need your Blizzard account to access it. You’re going to access this area every time you want to load up the game. However, you still need to download the game’s launcher. When you have a subscription to the game, you’re going to have access to WoW: Classic.
